Research and
benchmarking

After making deposits of a large amount (usually larger than £10.000), users have to provide different proof of why and to whom they are transferring or receiving this money.

Design challenges and constraints: Limited time and resources
The journey before was completely manual, having this journey on the chat bot first, gave us a lot of input and also the opportunity to test the text we were going to use.

Designs

We knew that having this journey in-app would make the experience smooth for the user and makes it easier to follow up with the compliance team.

Test

We conducted a round of testing on usertesting.com, focusing primarily on the wording. However, accurately simulating the pressure and real-world context of making a significant transaction proved challenging.

Results

There were many constraints, like the amount of time and resources available to implement this.

I worked closely with the research team and we did diary studies and competitive research with unmoderated testing. We got from all these the different needs and favourite add-ons of this feature.

After conversations with the Compliance team, and stakeholders, I could start designing different options to present to stakeholders.

The new version was implemented and improved significantly the work for compliance and the time it took to approved the payments.
